Streets Magnum sources its cocoa from Rainforest Alliance certified farms

Collaboration with rainforest alliance
Australia and New Zealand are leading the Unilever world by being the first to market with locally produced Magnum ice creams using cocoa sourced from Rainforest Alliance CertifiedTMfarms in the chocolate coating used across the core range of Magnum products. Streets Magnum products will now displaying the distinctive Rainforest Alliance Certified™green frog seal to re-assure consumers that Streets Magnum is made with ingredients that are ethically sourced and that protect the earth’s natural resources.
The move forms part of Unilever’s commitment, under the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan, to source 100% of all raw materials sustainably by 2020. Magnum has already purchased hundreds of tonnes of cocoa beans, helping to improve the livelihood of over 1,000 farmers and their families in countries like Ghana, Ecuador and the Ivory Coast.
Our work with the Rainforest Alliance is about making a difference at origin by helping farmers to improve their livelihoods and the environment, which in turn allows us to deliver premium products to consumers that are made from some of the highest quality and sustainably sourced ingredients available.

The Rainforest Alliance Certified™seal can be found on products and in restaurants and cafes around the world with consumers recognising it as a sign of products and services that meet high environmental and social standards.
