Making a positive contribution to health
As one of the world’s largest food businesses, we create and market food enjoyed by millions of people around the world every day. That means we can make a positive impact by providing products that contribute to consumer health.
Our brand teams turn knowledge of health and nutrition into real food solutions that people enjoy and that fit into their everyday lives. We constantly reassess product formulations in light of new research, much of which we conduct ourselves in collaboration with scientists and academic institutions around the world.
Many of our brands are involved in initiatives looking at how we can enhance nutritional goodness in our products and reduce ingredients like saturated and trans fats, sugar and salt.
But we don’t just create and market foods. We also help raise awareness about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle – not just diet – through our partnerships and collaborations with healthcare professionals and leading global health bodies like UNICEF and the World Health Organisation (WHO). In Australia and New Zealand, we work in collaboration with the Dietitians of Australia, the Sydney University Nutrition Research Foundation, the CSIRO and the National Heart Foundation to advance nutrition research and improve the nutritional wellbeing of the community.
We’re constantly learning more about the links between food and well-being. This helps us to create new products that make healthy eating enjoyable, convenient and affordable for people everywhere.
