Unilever Australasia - Supply Chain - Engineering

Besides excellent technical skills, you will need to be able to communicate well and work effectively in a team.

Supply Chain - Engineering

Manufacturing takes place on many of our sites around Australia and New Zeland or at third party manufacturers.

Manufacturing has two sub divisions; processing and packing. Processing is the transformation of raw materials into products suitable for further finishing and packing. In packing, these intermediate products are packed to finished stock available for delivery to customers.

Both processing and packing include activities such as conversion, which is the actual process of creating a product, materials draw-off, buffering and asset care.

Technical Function

The Technical Function assumes the prime responsibility for managing all the processes required to convert raw materials, ingredients and packaging into the high quality finished products that move into the various distribution channels on their way to our customers.

The two key areas of the technical function are manufacturing and engineering. Depending on your preferences, capabilities and performance, you will be able to progress in a rewarding career in either of these two key technical areas. There will also be opportunities to develop skills in more than one area as a foundation to a career within the broader supply chain.

A key part of your technical career challenge will be to develop strong, proactive, people skills across the functions while building professional and technical excellence.
