Vice President Finance & Information Technology
Martin joined Unilever UK in 1987 straight out of university as a trainee, commencing in Audit. He initially worked in a variety of roles, including Treasury and Inventory Accounting. In 1991, Martin went to Hong Kong as an IT Project Manager, which led to three years in Shanghai as Financial Controller for Unilever’s detergent joint venture.
After Shanghai, Martin relocated to Singapore as a Controller in Hazeline, a newly acquired business, where he led the transfer of production to China. He then returned to the UK to the Financial Group before joining the CAME (Central Africa Middle East) business group in 1997 as Commercial Manager. Martin spent time with various business group roles between London and Singapore. In 2003, he joined Unilever Australasia in the role of Vice President of Finance & IT.
Martin is married and has three sons. He is part-time coach to his son’s soccer club and still follows his beloved Coventry City.
