Vice President Human Resources
Born in Malaysia to parents of English decent, Julia was educated in the South of England before completing a Post Graduate Diploma in HR/IR at Manchester University. After graduating she started her HR career in the UK working with Swinton Insurance (now Sun Alliance) and the Quicks Group (multi-franchise car dealerships), before immigrating to Australia in the early '90s. Joining the Ford Motor Company in Melbourne, Julia worked in both ER and training before assuming a Senior Manager role with Parks Victoria. In 1999 she joined Masterfoods and for the next seven years progressed her career, being appointed to General Manager - Human Resources for the Food Division in 2003, responsible for driving a significant change program across the business. Owing to restructuring she left Masterfoods and consulted for a number of organisations (ANZ, Australia Post) and was appointed to KRCastlemaine as General Manager - HR in 2007, establishing a HR strategic direction within a competitive market. Relocating to Sydney, Julia joined Unilever in November 2007 as Vice President, HR.
She is married with two young children and an overactive dog! She enjoys walking, swimming, spending time with family and friends and drinking a good red.
