Can I get Omo Matic laundry detergent as a conventional powder?

Yes. If you prefer the original style of conventional powders which you measure with a cup rather than a scoop you should use Omo Matic conventional laundry powder available in a 4kg pack in Big W stores.

In supermarkets such as Coles, Woolworths and IGA, Omo Matic laundry detergent is available in a concentrate powder and an ultra concentrated liquid. The concentrate powder has a number of benefits over traditional standard powders, including packaging in a size and shape compatible with modern laundries, a reclosable lid to prevent powder spillage and a convenient scoop to improve dosage control. When used at the recommended dosage, Omo Matic Concentrate laundry detergent results in 10% fewer chemicals entering our environment than when using the standard powder. Choosing Omo Matic Small & Mighty Ultra Concentrate liquid laundry detergent is an easy way to reduce your impact on the environment without sacrificing great washing performance.

Does Omo Matic laundry detergent contain optical brighteners?

How much Omo Matic laundry detergent should I use?

To achieve optimum wash results the recommended dosage stated on the pack should be used.

ProductNormal LoadLarge Load or Hard Water
Concentrate Powder1 scoop1 1/2 scoops
Liquid1 cap1 1/2 caps
(1 scoop is approximately 1/2 cup and 1 cap of Omo Matic laundry Liquid is approximately 1/9 cup)

Using too little detergent causes poor soil and stain removal, greying of whites and soil build-up in the machine. Using too much detergent is uneconomical and increases the risk of over-foaming and thus poor rinsing of clothes.

Is Omo Matic laundry detergent biological?

The term 'biological' is a European term used to inform consumers when a product contains enzymes. Products with enzymes are referred to, as 'biological' while products without enzymes are termed 'non-biological'. Omo Matic Concentrate laundry detergent and Small & Mighty liquid are a 'biological' as they contains enzymes. If you are looking for a non-biological product use Omo Matic Sensitive laundry powder or Omo Matic Small & Mighty Sensitive Liquid detergent.
