Different surfaces need different care
Cleaning ceramic tiles
Floor tiles can be cleaned with a dilute solution of DOMESTOS in warm water. Simply dilute ½ a cup (125ml) of DOMESTOS into half a bucket of warm water. After washing, mop or wipe over the tiles with clean water. Remember DOMESTOS is a powerful cleaner which contains bleach. Always spot test and follow the instructions and safety directions on the bottle.
Cleaning laminated surfaces (including Formica & Laminex)
For tough tea, wine and cordial stains remove by working a little JIF Cream cleaner into the surface. Use a damp soft cloth to apply and rub for about 5-10 seconds to shift the grime. Wipe over with a clean, damp cloth to remove any residue.
Cleaning kitchen & bathroom sinks
Use a little JIF Cream cleaner on a damp cloth. (Do not rub too hard or long in one spot.) After cleaning wipe over with a clean, damp cloth to minimise residue. If you wish to kill germs as well as clean these surfaces use a little DOMESTOS disinfectant to clean the surface and then wipe over with a damp cloth. Remember don't use DOMESTOS with any other chemicals or cleaners.
Cleaning kitchen appliances
Dried sauces, egg and grease can sometimes be hard to shift. To remove them, just add a little JIF Cream* cleaner to the surface. Use a damp, soft cloth to apply and rub for about 5-10 seconds to shift the soil. To minimise streaking after cleaning wipe over the surface with a clean, damp cloth. (*If you have appliances wth specialist surfaces, such as brushed stainless steel, or a ceramic cooktop, do not use JIF Cream cleaner according to manufacturer's instructions only.)
Cleaning cork tiles
Clean only sealed tiles because badly worn tiles may water stain. In these cases the floor should be sealed using a quality sealant. To clean sealed cork tiles use about ¼ cup (63ml) of methylated spirit to ½ bucket of warm (not hot) water. Use a marginally damp mop. If floor is greasy increase the amount of methylated spirit to ½ cup in ½ bucket of water. Do not polish floor. Never use strong cleaning agents.
