David McNeil

Vice President Marketing Australasia

Born in Toronto, Canada, David studied Marketing at Queen's University in Kingston and graduated in 1987 with a BComm (Honours) Degree. He joined Colgate-Palmolive Canada in June 1987 as Marketing Assistant and held various roles in marketing until August 1990 when he was seconded to Colgate in Australia as Senior Brand Manager. 

Between 1990 and 1995, David progressed through Colgate's Australian business as Marketing Manager for Home Care, Oral Care and finally Fabric Care. In 1996, he joined Optus Vision as National Marketing Manager for Pay TV. Becoming an Australian citizen in 1998, David moved to Lion Nathan Breweries as Category Director, Innovation. As Marketing Director from 1998 to 2003, he was responsible for various local and international parts of Lion's beer portfolio. 

David then joined Unilever in mid 2003 as General Manager, Ice Cream Marketing & Development. In September, 2005 David was appointed to Unilever Australasia's Executive as Vice President, Marketing for Foods and Ice Cream. He was subsequently appointed Vice President Marketing Australasia in January 2008.

David is married with two children. He enjoys golf, travel, a good beer and spending all his spare time with family.
